Jenn Nelson is known internationally for her film Saving Happy Birthday, which tells the story of her successful lawsuit challenging a major corporation's claim to the song's copyright. Nelson has worked on the Emmy-nominated PBS documentary series Frontier House, helped develop the hit MTV series 16 & Pregnant, filmed Being Mike Tyson for Fox, and worked on numerous shows, which have been nominated for Peabody, Emmy, Webby Awards. Her entrance into production followed an unconventional path. Prior to earning a master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, she was a professional downhill mountain-bike racer and X Games athlete.
