Rafael Alcázar worked for nearly 20 years at Spain’s public broadcaster TVE before going into film. His filmography includes the feature films No hagas planes con Marga (1988), The Greek Labyrinth (1992), Corsarios del chip (1996), Cat Kisses (2003), Las locuras de Don Quijote (2006) and Huidas y ausencias (2020), as well as the short film Ecos de Clara Campoamor (2022). He directed several episodes of the documentary series España Historia inmediata and other documentaries such as Rutas de Don Quijote (2022), El libro: Nacimiento y esplendor (2020), El cardenal: Cisneros (2019) or Unamuno apasionado.
