Reece Auguiste

Biografie

Reece AUGUISTE is a documentary filmmaker, scholar and has been a teacher on several schools and universities. Before joining the film faculty at the University of Colorado he taught film and media courses at the University of Memphis. Auguiste was also a founding member of the British-based Black Audio Film Collective and is the director of the award-winning films Twilight City (1989), and Mysteries of July (1991). His essays on screen aesthetics and documentary practices have appeared in multiple journals. During is career he received multiple awards, including the Golden Hugo Award for best documentary at the Chicago International Film Festival.
