Rinaldo

When stuttering Aladár, in a miraculous way, saves the lives of Rezső and Mazsola, the two foundrymen, the Iron Works close down. A year later Aladár is beaten half-dead, for his clothes' sake, in dark street of the deteriorated neighbourhood. He is found by uncle Laci while raking dustbins and is taken up by him. The old man lives in a huge block of houses, once elegant, from where the residents are pushed out by an invisible land jobber, who is helped by bandits. Aladár once more becomes a hero: he organizes the resistance with the remaining residents, they hire the mysterious knife-thrower called Rinaldo and prepare for the fight. The head of the bandits turns out to be Rezső, their former colleague, but this doesn't mean anything by now. Rinaldo's knife enters Rezső's heart at the right moment. The house is saved.
