Tanya moved to Argentina from the Ukraine a long time ago. Her everyday life appears to play out in an imaginative world that spans two continents: languages, spaces, objects, songs and news make geographically impossible connections. Are we in Latin America or Eastern Europe? While life in Argentina continues as normal, Kiev burns. ‘Who knows how much of the Ukraine will be left after this?” she’s told over the phone. ‘This’ refers to events in the Maidan Square, among other things.
