Waga eiga senritsu

My Movie Melodies, creates rhythmic visual abstract shapes that are allowed to spill over the soundtrack area of 16mm film; a thin edge of the film not normally seen on screen. Thus, the visual pattern we see on the screen is translated directly into audio in the projector. A kind of material-synesthesia takes place, a graphical allusion to a particular perceptual condition of the brain in which sound can be seen and usually in color . The main melody in this film is a comb-patterned radiographic image. (Tampere Film Festival)
