Viewmaster

Inspired by Eadweard Muybridge’s “Running Man” series of photographs, Griffin’s whimsical animated poem uses a variety of parodied cartoon styles. Animated as if the viewer were reading a circular book, the film’s “content” is the formal analogy between the arrangement of the characters and the animation technique of cycled sequence drawing.
