Quagga

Olga and Tatiana Poliektovas are twin sisters from Russia. Both graduated from the University of Cinema and Television in animation and computer graphics. For ten years their work has combined traditional paper drawings with stop-motion animation and computer techniques. This short animated film Quagga, portrays a young boy’s story in order to show the importance of protecting endangered species for the sake of future generations. The message is delivered by recalling long extinct species, such as the Dodo bird, the Tasmanian tiger and the Quagga zebra. (Academia Film Olomouc)
