The story of Negadon: The Monster from Mars isn't great, but for me, it's simply a showcase of quality animation skills, and that, in my opinion, considering the length of the film and its message, is the most important thing to take away from it. I'm glad the filmmakers attempted such an interesting tribute, but admittedly I'm certainly not convinced this would work in a feature-length version.
