Hungary, 1989. Following the re-burial of Imre Nagy and his fellow martyrs, the journalist-editor Zeyk Kristóf is called a Stalinist by his young colleagues in a television talk-show. He runs home in a rage, and the next day he travels to the familys week-end house, leaving his wife behind. There, shutting up himself, he is torn by reproach and self-reproach, trying to come to terms with his past. Eventually he sees his opportunism as a series of compromises necessary for himself and his generation alike. His teen-age daughter lives by herself, and now he tries to temper his life-crisis by revitalising their so far neglected relationship. Hearing the news of the Rumanian revolution he sets out there in his car. (Verleiher-Text)
