As they stand on the precipice of adulthood, Kate and Lily wrestle with the subtle pressures brought to bear on their friendship. The action of the film is simple: Kate and Lily walk home from a party in the early dawn hours and then, in the late morning, they wake up at Kate's house, hungover and hungry. As they search for a waffle iron in the basement, Lily discovers an old dollhouse and some ancient dolls. Through doll play, she finds a way to tell Kate about something difficult that happened to her the night before. As old as you feel at seventeen, there is no substitute for lived experience.
