Szabó Imre, secretary of the illegal communist party arrives in Budapest secretly in 1942, in order to start the newspaper of the party in the fight against war. Not even his own mother can see him. The paper appears, it is distributed and it triggers the peaceful demonstration at the Petőfi statue on 15th March in 1942. The girlfriend of Gara, a university student called Felhő helps in organising the meeting with Bajcsy- Zsilinszky Endre. Gara has become a traitor once before, so the secret police takes action again through him and the unsuspicious Felhő. Szabó Imre is caught, Felhő commits suicide, the mother is mourning his forever lost son without a tear dropped. (Verleiher-Text)
