The world below Munich – dark shafts, tiles, tunnels. Mareike steers her train from terminus to terminus. People get on, ride along, get out. Most of them do not take notice of Mareike – and neither of her universe. Some 700 people make their living in the underground. Each one has his story, his fears, his hopes. The ticket controller who does his dream job. The track laying worker who would rather be a ticket controller. The cleaner who once was into computer science. Underground train guards between daily routine and the fear of suicides. And again Mareike, heading for new shores. (DOK.fest München)
