Jindřich Plachta is definitely the biggest positive aspect of this film. He was the kind of actor who could lift your spirits just by his presence. He's a kind-hearted man of the people who doesn't want to get angry, but when he does, it has consequences. His arguments with his wife are surprisingly harsh from her side and aren't funny at all at times. Actually, it's not even primarily a comedy.
